Taken For Granite is a light, muted, taupe gray eyeshadow. It applies lighter than it looks in the pan but can be built up. It looks amazing with all eye colors and pairs nicely with our other shadows. Apply it all over the lid, use it to blend out other colors or softly and a slight depth to your crease. You can’t go wrong with this color and it we’d say it’s another must-have! You really can use it with all of your other shadows but try it with Indi-Go-Go, Dirty Girl, Violet Vintage or Sage Rage too! If you already have and love Clean Slate you’ll want to add this to your collection as well. NOTE: Clearance Items Are Not Returnable

  4. 5 out of 5 A very pleasant surprise

    Zuzu

Taken for Granite was part of a palette, and I wasn’t expecting much from this color. But this demure, greige matte snuck up on me as a brilliant multitasker. When I look at the pan, I see slightly different colors in different lights: dove grey, cement, putty, stone, ash, mushroom, driftwood. Sometimes I detect a whisper of blue or green. On my pink porcelain skin, the overall effect is a clear grey with no overt blue or purple and without the sludge that so many neutral shadows turn on me. I use this shade to add contour to my sagging sockets, and it also works as face contour (if I were so inclined). Taken for Granite blends with every color I own, providing subtle transition or softening, when needed. It’s also a great brow filler for my ash blonde eyebrows. My favorite way to wear it is smudged into the outer eyelid corners over Pixie Dust. It’s a no-makeup makeup look. I can see where this sheer, buildable color might be disappointing on medium and darker skin tones, but for those of us who glow in the dark, Taken for Granite is a miracle worker.

  5. 5 out of 5 This is the best for eyebrows - if........

    Melissa

I have been looking for a shadow to use on my eyebrows. I needed taupe with a silver undertone that would go for ash toned hair. Not too light and not too dark……just right! Here you go………IT’S just RIGHT!!!!

This gray is perfect for my blue eyes. It goes very smooth on the eye lid and blends really well with other colors. I am very happy with my purchase. Now I just wanna buy all of Red Apple lipstick eyeshadows!!

  7. 4 out of 5 Perfect grey-ish for olive skin

    Stephanie

A lot of greys make me look dead or chalky because of my olive skin tone. However, Taken for Granite applies in a way that not only shows the color but also complements the skin tone. Can be built up or sheered out. Great color; very versatile.

  8. 4 out of 5 Nice neutral that plays well with others.

    jvheart

This is a nice light grey but with a slight but of warmth. It is a bit dusty when passing the brush over it but if you tap lightly it works better. Also, when applying it I feel it looks better after it has been blended in a bit. It’s a very versatile color and would pair with most colors. I have used it as an all over color with En Pointe for a quick, natural daytime look. I like wetting it and using it to line my lower lashes.

  9. 4 out of 5 Love this grey

    Brenda Sipe

This is the first gray that I have owned in a long time and I love it, I have used it almost daily since it came in the mail, depending on how you use it can be a light gray or a smokier gray. You guys hit this one out of the ball park, its wonderful, looks awesome, with pinks. Thanks for another great color!!! 🙂

  10. 5 out of 5 Just perfect!

I use this for my light, graying and sparse eye brows. Very natural. Goes on like a soft putty non-color that is a perfect color. Does that make sense? It works for me.

  11. 3 out of 5 Sad.

For some reason my screen makes everything bluer than it actual is. I wish this was the color that I see on my screen. It has more yellow/green than I was looking for. It’s almost like a pale taupe or Kahki pants color. I am sadly disappointed. I give it three stars because it is not the color I hoped for and is lighter that what’s on the screen, too. I will have to give it away since I am tired of sending things back because of the wrong color.
