Violet Femme is what I reach for when I want to say, "Blue." I usually wear it in the outside corners of my eyes, working in toward the center along the crease. Sometimes, I'll add it to my eyeliner routine, wetting the angled brush with water before gathering color from the pan and running it along the outer portion of my eyes. I have used several other "blues" (Silver Lining, Violet Vintage, Violet *****) with this protocol, pulling the total color reading toward clothing and my unique skin and hair colors. I realize that individually, these colors read, "Purple," and I do use them for actual violet color, too. However, I heard it once said, "Blue eye shadow should be outlawed!" I've always remembered that imperative and found that, for myself, it is true. I am fair and blue-eyed, and when I attempt a true blue color scheme, my eyes turn off, and I look inexperienced with make-up. I am an artist and love to "play" with color. Violet Femme has lots of uses: blues, violets, even some relatable reds! I hope RAL continues this color!
