If you have light skin with a cool undertone it’s going to be easier for your skin to look it’s washed out—and on the other hand overly bright or bold lipsticks can overpower your complexion. So these three lipstick shades are going to be a great place for you to start. Your makeup bag won’t be complete without a soft rosy pink, a deeper pink, and for when you want to go bolder a pinky coral. We’ve gone into detail about each shade below, but for now let’s talk WHY.
When choosing lipsticks for someone with a similar look as Brigette pictured here, we’re really focused on enhancing features. The great thing about these colors is she’ll likely be able to still wear them as her features change over time. Maybe with only slight adjustments to how bold the colors are worn.
Let’s talk base lip color, the color your lips are with nothing on them. This is important because our lipsticks are designed to blend WITH your natural lip color not completely cover it up. So, these lipsticks would look different on someone who started off with a brown or purple base lip color, and may not be our first choices.
Brigette’s base lip color is light pink and is slightly different than her face skin color. Knowing your base lip color allows you to find lipstick shades that are just a shade deeper for a “my-lips-but-better” look – the perfect everyday lipstick for looking pulled together without any effort. It’ll be your go-to, everyday lipstick.
If your base lip color is anywhere in the pink range these are good choices for you.
Unpinkable – Bold Power Pink
This fuchsia-y pink is a great choice for a bolder lip color on those that have cool light skin. Just be careful to not overpower your complexion by applying it too heavily. Our recommendation would be to apply it in layers using a lip brush. This way you have complete control over how bold you’d like to go. Brigette is pictured wearing this lovely pink lipstick above.
Unpinkable is a very pigmented smooth and creamy lipstick with no shimmer. It’s a that has an ever so slight, teeny bit of red in it. This lipstick is a warm color with cool undertones. It’ll look great on a variety of skin tones.
Mabel – Everyday Perfect Pink
This muted rosy pink is perfect for those with a light pink base lip color. It’s so simple yet so elegant. It has no shimmer, just a subtle shine that dries to a satin finish. It’s a wonderflcolor for a more natural look.
With a hint of mauve and cool undertones, this pink lipstick is the everyday pink you’ve been looking for. It’s not too dark, not too light – perfect in between shade for this skin tone, hair color, and base lip color.
Brazilliant – Gorgeous Lipstick For Blondes
When looking at lipstick colors for cool skin, Brazilliant might not be your first choice BUT trust us it looks amazing. That’s because this pink with slight tangerine undertone adds warmth to your skin and goes amazing with blonde hair.
Brazilliant has some gorgeous shimmer to it and is super easy to wear. This color blends with the base color of your lips very well. On darker lips, it turns iridescent. On medium brown lips – Brazilliant is very light pink, super natural looking. On pink lips, the color becomes a deeper shade of pink. Either way it’s a fun choice for something a little different.
